Grassroots Update: WA Providers Take On DC
The recently finalized CMS staffing minimums for skilled nursing are poised to wreak havoc on Washington’s long-term care system, and this week, we intensified our opposition with a boots-on-the-ground mission to educate our federal leaders.
Over the past two days, WHCA advocates met with 9 of Washington’s 12 Congresspeople in DC. Logan Pratt of Caring Places Management, Khadija Sheikh of Prestige Care, Adam Canary of Bainbridge Island Health and Rehab, and Jessica Burkard of Avamere Senior Living teamed up with WHCA’s Eric Negomir to help our leaders understand just how disastrous the staffing mandate really is.
