Submit Your Comment on Proposed Mandatory Reporting of Acute Respiratory Illnesses in NHSN

The Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published the 2025 Home Health Prospective Payment System rule June 26, 2024. Included in this rule was a proposal to replace the current COVID-19 reporting standards for LTC facilities with new requirements that would address a broader range of acute respiratory illnesses. This proposal would continue and expand National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reporting, for long-term care (LTC) facilities indefinitely.
