SNF NURSES CAN GET PAID TO BE PRECEPTORS FOR NURSING STUDENTS!

OVERVIEW

Anyone interested in learning about the Washington State Nursing Preceptor Grant Program (WSNPG)? The DOH-Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission(NCQAC) would like to announce the launching of the Washington State Nurse Grant Preceptor Program (WSNGP) in Fall 2022.

The 2022 Washington State Legislature provided funding to incentivize nurses who volunteer to precept nursing students at approved practice sites by educational programs. (General Fund-State) (Ongoing).  An incentive will be paid directly to LPNs, RNs, and ARNPs who precept nursing students and meet eligibility requirements.

WHCA will be hosting an informational session on November 30, from 10 – 11 AM, with representatives of the Grant Program to discuss the overview of the WSPNG program including eligibility requirements and the reimbursement process for the grant incentive. This informational webinar is for corporate nurses, Directors of Nursing and RNs/LPNs of skilled nursing facilities. If you are interested in applying for a preceptor grant incentive, please attend this informational session by registering here.
