Our featured speaker will be David Gifford, MD, MPH. Dr. Gifford is a geriatrician currently serving as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at the American Health Care Association (AHCA). He is a former Director of the Rhode Island State Department of Health from 2005 to 2011, where he received the National Governor’s Distinguished Service Award for State Officials for his management of the H1N1 influenza outbreak.

As providers continue to work to prevent and contain the spread of the coronavirus, the flu season will soon be starting, offering even more challenges for nursing homes and putting infection control and other practices in the spotlight as never before. During this webinar, learn what lies ahead for providers during this once-in-a-lifetime pandemic/flu season, and acquire tips on best practices for communicating with staff, residents, and families about what the facilities are doing, and how to meet the challenges of the dual infection threat.
